Classification: Quill-shaped tubes

Description:  One end of a node of bamboo is carved out into a quill which is struck against a piece of wood.  Played as an ensemble, each instrument has its own rhythmic pattern. The music of the flat gongs (gangsa) is played on the patangg-uk.   It is usually heard during peace-pact ceremonies (bodong).  This set was made by Jose Pangsiw.
